Our Story
St. Honore’ Bakehouse, the mother-daughter duo, is the realization of a lifelong passion for baking, born from the heart and hands of Paula, a dedicated home baker. From her college days hosting vibrant dinner parties, to crafting wholesome meals as a newlywed for family and friends, Paula’s love for nourishing others through food has always been at her core. After settling in Wisconsin, she mastered the art of from-scratch meals that feed both body and soul for her family of four children.
The spark for St. Honore’ came from Paula’s daughter, Nancy (the young star behind Nummy Nancy’s), whose entrepreneurial spirit led her to sell her now-famous cookies. Building on Nancy’s vision, St. Honore’ Bakehouse offers her beloved, delectable cookies alongside Paula’s heritage sourdough collection.
Paula’s journey with sourdough began in 2020, inspired by a rediscovery of wild yeast’s health benefits and a desire to create authentic, gut-friendly bread. Unlike many store-bought sourdough products that rely on commercial yeast and additives, St. Honore’ Bakehouse is committed to TRUE sourdough, using only wild yeast and long fermentation processes to maximize flavor and nutrition. After years of perfecting her craft, Paula now offers an array of sourdough goods—breads, biscuits, buns, English muffins, bagels, crackers, muffins, and seasonal desserts—all made with premium organic ingredients. These creations are designed to support healthy digestion and are crafted to be enjoyed by those with gluten sensitivities.
